I think that a better idea is to find a way to get 50 people off their couch and into the community. Perhaps things as simple as sitting on their community association board or being a darn "snow angel" would improve our city. I think that the Government already ( or should) have these type of positions. Its a nice idea, but I think 5 "salary's" of $50K each could be better spent.
